Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (RUSL) is set to enhance its academic landscape through a new partnership with the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony is scheduled for 14.05.2024, at the Senate Hall of RUSL, marking a significant step forward in collaborative education and research.
This promising alliance will be formalized in the presence of notable academics and professionals from both institutions. Representing RUSL will be Prof. GAS Ginigaddara, Vice Chancellor, Prof. PMB Jayathilake, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies, and Dr. JDT Madhusanka, Head of the Department of Marketing Management. SLIM’s delegation will include President Mr. Gayan Perera, Vice President of Education and Research Prof. Jayantha N. Dewasiri, CEO/Executive Director Mr. Sanath Senanayake, along with other key members.
The collaboration aims to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical industry insights, providing RUSL undergraduates with scholarships and exemptions to pursue programs at SLIM. Both institutions are committed to exploring joint ventures in research publications and brand innovation projects, which are expected to enrich the learning experiences for students and foster growth in marketing and business disciplines.
This MOU represents another milestone in Rajarata University’s efforts to expand its academic horizons and nurture future leaders in the competitive global marketplace.
