Rajarata University of Sri Lanka’s Department of Marketing Management hosted a trailblazing event, the “Brand Simulation Programme 2023.” On December 1, 2023, capture the imagination of second- and third-year undergraduates. In partnership with the University Business Linkage Cell, this innovative initiative aimed to apply academic knowledge to practical business cases by immersing students in the real business world.
Distinguished guests, including Prof. PMB Jayathilaka, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies, and Dr. Manoj Samarathunga, Director of the University Business Linkage Cell, graced the event. Mrs. Priyani Nanayakkara, President of the Chamber of Commerce in North Central Province, added a special touch as the esteemed special guest.
At the heart of the program was a collaboration with industry partners: Adhitya Ayurveda, Kangara Aushadalaya, Wasala Leisure, Wheel Masters, Suwa Shanthi Hospital, and Shashi Electricals. These companies shared invaluable industry insights, providing students with a rich, hands-on experience across diverse sectors.
Students expressed gratitude for the invaluable exposure, while company representatives lauded the innovative ideas presented by the Rajarata marketers. Students enhanced their knowledge and skills in market research, digital marketing, product and service development, and crafting innovative strategies and contents.
